Valero Scores Defense Contract
SAN ANTONIO -- Refining and marketing company Valero Energy Corp. was awarded a $180 million fuel contract by the Department of Defense, the San Antonio Business Journal reported.
The fuel will be manufactured by Valero Marketing & Supply Co., and sold to support the Defense Department's foreign military sales program, the report stated. The contract will be managed by the Defense Energy Support Center, located in Fort Belvoir, Va., and will last until Oct. 31, 2008, according to the report.
