United Dairy Farmers Doubles Space, Jobs With New Ohio Store

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- United Dairy Farmers (UDF) is doubling the size of its store on Verity Parkway here, and doors are slated to open at the end of the month.

The new convenience store, which will replace an old store, will come in at 4,000 square feet. With the expanded space will come more jobs -- a total of 25, at least twice the number as in the old store, Frank Cogliano, senior vice president of UDF told the Middletown Journal.

The new location will feature a 16-hose gas station, an ice cream parlor with indoor and outdoor seating, a Beer Den walk-in cooler, and improvements to the coffee and fountain drink area. The c-store will fall in line with other new UDF stores in Liberty Township and Pleasant Ridge, according to the report.

UDF has been eyeing changes at the Middletown location for some time. The old store opened 49 years ago and only measured 1,600 square feet, Cogliano explained. In addition, the company leased the property where the old store sits but owns the property where the new store is rising.
