Turkey Hill Purchases Two Giant to Go C-stores

LANCASTER, Pa. — Turkey Hill Minit Markets, a division of The Kroger Co., acquired two Giant to Go convenience stores from GIANT Food Stores LLC. The stores are located in Lancaster, at 2339 Oregon Pike in the Shoppes at Landis Valley, and at 601 Richmond Drive and Fruitville Pike at Richmond Square.

Settlement dates for the purchases are scheduled for the third week of September.

"We look forward to this exciting opportunity to serve customers with a new level of variety and convenience at these two locations when they reopen as Turkey Hill stores," stated Kim Hertzog, public relations manager for Turkey Hill.

Both of the nearly 4,100-square-foot c-stores will be rebranded to the Turkey Hill banner and offer:

  • Touchscreen ordering from Turkey Hill's signature menu of fresh foodservice items, including Built Your Way sandwiches, subs, pizza and other selections for breakfast, lunch, dinner and anytime snacks.
  • An extensive line of beverages and frozen products that includes fresh-brewed coffee, cappuccinos, fountain drinks, Slusheys, and a wide selection of Turkey Hill ice cream, iced tea and drinks.
  • Six fueling stations at the Oregon Pike location and four at the Fruitville Pike location. The Oregon Pike store will also offer diesel.

Following settlement, the Fruitville Pike store will close briefly for renovations and reopen a few days later, while the Oregon Pike store is expected to reopen in November after remodeling of the interior and fuel service area.

Lancaster-based Turkey Hill Minit Markets has more than 260 stores in Pennsylvania, Indiana and the Columbus, Ohio, area.
