Sunoco Opens Next Generation Store at Dulles Airport

DULLES, Va. — Sunoco LP officially cut the ribbon on its latest next generation APlus location, situated at Washington Dulles International Airport.

The 8,600-square-foot convenience store/gas station combination features a Laredo Taco Co. and a Subway quick-service restaurant. It also includes 28 fueling stations, with auto diesel at every pump, according to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.

The c-store also boasts a car wash and 75 parking spaces, as well as seating for 51 inside and 38 outside.

In a tie-in with its location, customers can check flights on live monitors inside the store, charge devices with USB power and use the free Wi-Fi. The newly developed three-acre complex is located just off the Dulles Airport Access Highway, adjacent to the former airport gas station and the Economy parking lot, the news outlet added.

"This new facility is our next generation of Sunoco APlus stores," said Scot Knox, Sunoco's regional operations director. "The size, space, convenience of our store, including the restaurant-feel and made-right-here food, is going to add to the great amenities already available at Dulles International Airport."

The APlus opened to the public on Dec. 22 and the company and officials from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority held a grand opening celebration on Jan. 12.

"We welcome all Dulles customers to this spacious, new facility that was built to serve their travel needs for years to come," said Jerome L. Davis, Airports Authority executive vice president and chief revenue officer. "More than just a gas station, the APlus store, Subway Sandwich Shop and Laredo Taco Company provide high-quality food and retail options for travelers catching a flight or hitting the road."
