Speedway SuperAmerica Selects New Credit Card Processor

ATLANTA -- Speedway SuperAmerica LLC has selected RBS Lynk, the U.S. payment-processing arm of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, to provide credit card processing to the approximately 1,600 gasoline and convenience stores.

Under terms of the agreement, RBS Lynk will initially provide in-store and pay-at-the-pump credit card processing for Speedway, a subsidiary of Marathon Oil Corp. This will be followed by implementation of debit card processing.

"Credit card processing plays an increasing role in the value and convenience we can offer our customers," said Brad Mayer, Speedway's vice president, finance and information technology services.

"RBS Lynk's services will help Speedway continue to efficiently and cost-effectively meet the fueling and convenience needs of the more than 2.4 million customers who shop our stores on a daily basis."

Headquartered in Enon, Ohio, Speedway operates retail stores in nine Midwestern states. RBS Lynk is a single-source provider of electronic payment processing services, including credit, debit, EBT, checks, gift cards, e-commerce, customer loyalty cards, fleet cards, prepaid cards, ATM processing and cash management services.
