Rutter's Opens 'A Monument to Convenience'

YORK, Pa. — Rutter's Farm Stores opened its newest and largest store in York Springs, Pa., on Monday, off the Heidlersburg, East Berlin exit on Pennsylvania Route 15. The "monument to convenience" is Rutter's 61st store and its third location in Adams County.

The new store features an exterior fuel monument sign and gas canopy that debut a new, enhanced Rutter's brand identity. Both have extensive LED lighting elements, bold colors and a signature contrasting look by day and night.

The 11.5-acre site has seven high-speed truck diesel fueling spaces, 14 lanes for gas and auto diesel, and 23 truck parking spaces.

"This new location is the latest evolution of our brand. It will serve the needs of several key business segments; namely convenience store shoppers, professional truck drivers, and those seeking quick and casual restaurant quality food," stated Derek Gaskins, Rutter's chief customer officer. "As with many of our newer stores, it will combine the best of those elements under one roof to meet the needs of customers in the Gettysburg region."

The store interior includes a 36-person seating area where customers can enjoy items from Rutter's foodservice menu, gourmet coffee bar, dairy products and free Wi-Fi. The large restrooms are designed to be state-of-the-art to accommodate both the interstate traveler as well as local patrons, the company said. A dedicated road travel accessories area accommodates truck drivers.

York-based Rutter's is a family-owned convenience store chain operating 61 convenience stores throughout Central Pennsylvania.
