Rolling Strong Driver Wellness Tour Rolls Into Pilot Flying J

LAS VEGAS -- With a eye toward better health for professional drivers, Pilot Flying J will host the 2012 Rolling Strong Driver Wellness Tour as it begins its nationwide jaunt on April 18.

Each event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at nine Pilot Flying J travel centers. Incorporated under the tour is Rolling Strong's Driver Wellness Tool Bag, which provides tools for drivers that are available to them at their workplace -- the road.

Each event will provide product samples deemed as healthy, educational materials from Kroger Pharmacy, Bayer HealthCare, EBOOST and more. In addition, Bob Perry, known as "The Trucker Trainer," and other Rolling Strong trainers will be on-site to teach those in attendance how to conduct 10-minute workouts using a truck. Drivers are encouraged to exercise during the events as well.

"As the driver-driven company, Pilot Flying J is proud to partner with Rolling Strong to bring health and wellness events to our consumers on-site at our travel plazas across the nation," said Jimmy Haslam, CEO of Pilot Flying J. "The convenience of our customers is always a top priority at Pilot Flying J, so making these valuable tools available to professional drivers where they already stop to refuel and refresh is key."

To further encourage people to attend each event, one driver at each location will win a grand prize valued at $1,200. The package includes The Trucker Trainer Block Special Edition set, a Power Block bench, a six-month membership to Snap Fitness at any of its nationwide locations, $25 to spend on Rolling Strong Nutritional Products and access to more than 1,800 healthcare clinics throughout the United States to receive free weight, body mass index, heart rate and blood screenings.

"Rolling Strong is here to help trucking companies of any size begin a wellness program designed for their drivers' needs and their unique workplace out there on the road," said Perry.

The first event will take place Pilot Flying J's Knoxville, Tenn., location on April 18. Future tour stops are Carlisle, Pa., on May 16; Brooks, Ore., on June 20; Lake Station, Ind., on July 18; Dallas on Aug. 22; Altoona, Iowa, on Sept. 19; Avondale, Ariz., on Oct. 17; Fort Pierce, Fla., on Nov. 14; and Hesperia, Calif., on Dec. 12.
