QuikTrip Tops GasBuddy's Inaugural Quarterly Report Card

BOSTON — If QuikTrip Corp. could receive a report card grade, it would be A+, according to GasBuddy's inaugural quarterly C-store Report Card, which reveals how gas station convenience stores stacked up in the first quarter.

The Tulsa, Okla.-based c-store operator secured the top spot in the Top-Rated Overall category, while Kwik Trip Inc., based in La Crosse, Wis., ranked No. 1 in five out of six categories for coffee, cleanliness, customer service, outdoor lighting and restrooms.

GasBuddy's quarterly C-store Report Card measured findings by examining ratings and reviews between Jan. 1 and March 31 of convenience stores with more than 30 retail locations. The most popular of the five categories is the "overall" category, with 54 percent of GasBuddies saying they had a "positive" experience vs. 9 percent who expressed a negative experience.

QuikTrip also took the top spot in the recently released Market Force study, which ranked consumers’ top picks for filling up among gas stations and convenience stores vs. warehouse clubs and grocery stores. The c-store operator topped the leaderboard at No. 1 ahead of Cumberland Farms (No. 2), Sheetz (No. 3), Wawa (No. 4) and Kwik Trip (No. 5).
