Quik Trip Provides Medical Clinic to Warehouse Employees

BELTON, Mo. -- Quik Trip is now providing a medical clinic for its workers next door to its Belton warehouse facility through a contract with Care ATC, which operates the medical clinic, according to a report by Fox4kc.com.

The company reported a reduction in absenteeism and a boost in productivity, but the biggest benefit may be providing preventative medicine to workers who might otherwise not go to a doctor, the report stated.

"It certainly takes out the middle man," said Bob Climpson of Quik Trip in the report. "It's a great way to get employees in, and we don't file insurance claims. They see the doctor, they set an appointment and they get right in."

Care at the clinic is available to all of the convenience store chain's employees and their immediate family at no charge, and another clinic is available in Tulsa, Okla.

The company will look at provide more clinics in other markets as well, the report stated.
