Quick Mart Complies with QC Mart
DAVENPORT, Iowa -- Bethany Enterprises, owner and operator of QC Marts convenience stores, had sued its competitor, Quick Mart, due to the company's yellow-and-red sign confused customers with its similarity to that of QC Marts, CSNews Online reported in July.
As a result of the lawsuit, filed by William Ernst, owner of the Bethany Enterprises, Quick Mart owner, Ramzan Ahmad agreed to immediately remove the sign from his property, and said he would not use red and yellow in his new sign.
Additionally, Ahmad agreed to change the name of his business to Iowa St. Mart, and put up a temporary sign using this name until a permanent sign was available and the new name approved.
