Qik 'n EZ to Hold Charity Golf Outing

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- Chronister Oil's 11-unit Qik ‘n EZ convenience store chain will hold a charity golf outing Aug. 20, where net proceeds from the event will benefit the Springfield YMCA Capital Campaign for the construction of a new facility, the company stated.

"We opened our first Qik ‘n EZ location in Springfield more than 40 years ago and have grown as a part of this community. This is another fantastic opportunity for us to give back," Qik ‘n EZ President Grady Chronister said in a statement. "Our goal is to raise funds for the Springfield YMCA as they work to build healthier lives for the children, families and seniors in our community."

The golf event will be held at the Piper Glen Golf Course here. The event includes a four person, 18-hole scramble with cash prizes. Those interested in participating can pick up a brochure at any Qik ‘n EZ store.
