Pilot Flying J Incorporates IdleAir Into More Locations

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Pilot Flying J expanded its partnership with IdleAir to two more of its travel centers. The service is now available at Pilot's Dalton, Ga., and White Pine, Tenn., locations.

IdleAir provides drivers with an alternative to idling. The fee-based service allows motorists to utilize heating, air conditioning, electricity, satellite television and Internet services. According to IdleAir, its service enables professional drivers to sleep better, save money and be better stewards of the environment because they don't need to leave their engines on for extended periods of time.

"We're pleased to offer IdleAir services at an increasing number of our locations nationwide," said Mark Hazelwood, executive vice president at Pilot. "IdleAir has streamlined its pricing and services while still maintaining helpful representatives at our travel centers. Pilot Flying J strives to provide exceptional service at all of our locations and the IdleAir staff reinforces this goal through our growing partnership. We fully expect usage of the IdleAir system to increase, which will result in cost savings and an improved quality of life for our customers."

Pilot now employs 11 IdleAir networks. "Our new locations at Dalton and White Pine and our soon-to-open Carneys Point Flying J location feature redesigned layouts along the perimeter of the lots that maximize truck parking while minimizing disruption to other drivers," said Ethan Garber, CEO of IdleAir.

Pilot Flying J operates more 550 retail locations throughout North America.
