Parker's Opens 30th Location

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Parker's, opened its 30th convenience store in Rincon, Ga., the first in this city and the third in Effingham County. The new, state-of-the-art location offers a 4,500-square-foot retail space and stands at the site of the former Springfield Ford dealership on Highway 21.

"We've received repeated requests from Effingham County customers asking us to open a Parker's in Rincon," Greg Parker, president and CEO of Parker's, said. "We listened to our customer base and appreciate their support."

The Rincon store will offer popular Parker's items including a gourmet coffee bar, fountain drinks with Chewy Ice, fresh-brewed ice tea, and snacks. It will also feature LIFT Retail Marketing Technology for quality customer service, as well as the PumpPal loyalty program. As previously reported by CSNews Online, PumpPal is providing consumers with a discount of 10 cents per gallon on gasoline purchases through Dec. 31.

According to Parker's, PumpPal has saved customers up to 10 cents on every gallon of gas purchased for a combined total savings of $2.3 million since the program's February 2011 launch. It boasts more than 59,000 members throughout Georgia and South Carolina.

"With our PumpPal program, we save our customers money every day, keeping gas prices low throughout Effingham County," added Parker.

The Rincon Parker's will also feature the 1-Cent Wednesday Fueling the Community program, which takes place on the first Wednesday of every month. Parker's has pledged to donate one cent of every gallon of gas purchased on these days to community schools.

Parker's 30 stores are located throughout southeast Georgia and South Carolina. The c-store retailer stated it plans to open additional stores in Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, Effingham, Bulloch, Jasper and Beaufort counties in Georgia.
