Newark Airport to Welcome Super Station

JERICHO, N.Y. -- Travelers who frequent Newark International Airport will soon see a new multi-service Super Station now that GAZ Realty Inc. was awarded the right to build one of its signature stores off Express Road leading to terminals A, B and C.

Approved plans call for a gas station, convenience store, car wash, light auto repair and towing services. The station will also serve biodiesel fuel, which is required under the Part Authority's new "Go Green" campaign.

"It's our first entry into an Airport Authority, and we plan to make this location a show case for future sites throughout the country," said George Abi Zeid, president and chief executive officer of GAZ Realty in a released statement. "The revenues for this site are projected to be in excess of $25 million annually."

Alan Abi Zeid, vice president of business development for GAZ Realty, explained the station will service the approximate 25,000 airport staff as well as taxis and rental car companies. In 2005, more than 33 million people used the airport, a clear sign that business will be abundant.

"We expect to be fully operational by the first quarter of 2009," Zeid said in a released statement.
