Love's Racks Up Seven Store Openings in Early 2017

OKLAHOMA CITY — After opening its 400th location in November, Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores kicked off the new year by pushing past that milestone.

Two new locations — one in Syracuse, Neb., and another in Angleton, Texas — joined Love's Travel Stops' network on Jan. 12.

The Syracuse travel stop offers a Hardee's restaurant, 68 truck-parking spaces and five showers. The Angleton location features a Carl's Jr. restaurant, 83 truck-parking spaces and five showers. Both travel stops are open 24 hours, seven days a week, and offer gourmet coffee, fountain drinks, fresh fruit, name-brand snacks, CAT scales, DEF and other driver services.

Two weeks later, on Jan. 26, Love's welcomed customers are three additional locations in: Cunningham, Kan.; Springfield, Ohio; and Hereford, Texas.

The three travel stops are open 24 hours, seven days a week. They offer gourmet coffee, fountain drinks, fresh fruit, name-brand snacks, showers, CAT scales, DEF and other driver services. Combined, the three locations add 183 truck-parking.

The Cunningham travel stop offers a Subway restaurant, the Springfield location features Subway and Wendy's restaurants, and the Hereford store features a Carl's Jr. restaurant.

The retailer also cut the ribbon on its 22nd location in Kansas, welcoming customers at its Love's Travel Stop in Chanute on Feb. 9. It is also the second Love's location along U.S. Highway 169. The first Love's Travel Stop opened on the road last year in Nowata, Okla., roughly 70 miles south of the newest store.

"The opening of the new store allows us to serve more customers with the 'Clean Places, Friendly Faces' Love's is known for along the well-traveled U.S. Highway 169," said Greg Love, co-CEO of Love's. "Chanute is in a great location for drivers traveling to and from Kansas City and Tulsa, Okla., and beyond. We look forward to providing a safe place to park to more drivers in a new part of Kansas."

The new Love's is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and features an Arby's restaurant. The travel stop also offers services for professional drivers, including truck parking, showers, CAT scales and other amenities.

Far from taking a break, on Feb. 16, the company opened a Love's Travel Stop in Knoxville, Ill., offering 94 new truck-parking spots to Interstate 74. The store is Love's 14th in Illinois and its fourth along a 300-mile span on Interstate 74.

It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and offers Subway and Chester's Chicken restaurants, seven showers, a Love's Truck Tire Care Center as well as other services and amenities for professional drivers.

Based in Oklahoma City, Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores has more than 410 locations in 40 states. Love's provides professional truck drivers and motorists with 24-hour access to purchase gasoline, diesel fuel, travel items, electronics, snacks and more, as well as a selection of restaurant offerings. On-site Love's Truck Tire Care centers offer roadside assistance, tire care and light mechanical services for professional truck drivers. Showers, CAT scales and other services for professional truck drivers are also available.
