Kum & Go Recognized as Leading Retail Entrepreneur

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Kum & Go President and CEO Kyle K. Krause has been named a winner in the 2012 Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year program. He received the award for the Retail and Consumer Products Category in the Central Midwest.

"Congrats to our President & CEO Kyle J. Krause on being named a regional award winner in the 2012 Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year program; it's a true representation of his entrepreneurial spirit!," the company commented on its Facebook page.

Krause was feted, along with the other E&Y winners, at a black-tie gala in Overland Park, Kan., on June 5.

The program defines the Central Midwest region as Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska. Nominations were accepted through March 23 and the finalists were announced in early May. Winners are judged by an independent panel consisting of past Entrepreneur of the Year winners, and civic and community leaders.

The Central Midwest region has participated in the Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year program since 1986 and has had 17 regional winners go on to win national awards.
