Irving Oil Signs Illuminated Signage Provider

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- Irving Oil, operator of gas stations and convenience stores in the Northeast U.S. and Canada, selected Eastman Chemical Co. and Plaskolite, Inc.'s Transworld Signs for its retail stations in the Canadian Maritime Provinces and the northeastern United States, Azom.com reported.

The signs are illuminated, rigid and thermoformed, and are made with Mustang copolyester sheet. The signage is heat- and weather-resistant, and available in clear and white.

"We needed a material that would provide an aesthetically pleasing sign, allow us to achieve the desired look and maintain consistency in Irving's brand image throughout its network," Bill Kovacevic, vice president of research and development, and product development for Transworld Signs, said in the report. "By using Mustang copolyester sheet, we were able to develop a tough, long-lasting sign with high-quality designs and crisp details."
