Hess Launches Gasoline Giveaway

NEW YORK -- Hess Corp., an independent gasoline/convenience store marketer on the East Coast, launched Hess Gas Giveaway, an online contest for residents of 12 states offering a chance to win up to a year's worth of free gasoline.

No purchase is necessary and contestants can enter once a day through March 31, by registering online at www.hessexpress.com.

Contestants are eligible to instantly win a $50 Hess gas card and receive special offers. All contestants will be automatically entered to win the grand prize: free gas for a year awarded as a $2,000 Hess gas card. During the contest, 21 winners will receive $50 Hess gas cards. The drawing for one grand prize winner will take place in early April.

According to Rick Lawlor, vice president of retail sales and marketing, the Hess Gas Giveaway reflects what the Hess retail brand is all about -- great value and friendly service. "Coming into the New Year, we thought a free gas contest would be a fun way to introduce Hess to new customers and show our appreciation to existing customers," he said.

The Hess Gas Giveaway is open to people 18 years of age and older who live in 12 East Coast states: Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina and Vermont.

Hess is a global integrated energy company engaged in the exploration, development, production, purchase, transportation and sale of crude oil and natural gas. The corporation also manufactures, purchases, trades and markets refined petroleum and other energy products. Approximately 1,350 Hess-branded locations operate in 16 East Coast states from New Hampshire to Florida, serving more than 1.3 million customers a day.
