Get Hacked at NACStech 2010

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Kevin Mitnick, often called "the world's most famous former hacker," will deliver the closing General Session presentation at NACStech 2010, taking place May 5-7, 2010, in New Orleans.

Mitnick, the founder of Mitnick Security Consulting LLC, will focus on issues related to data security and PCI compliance in his presentation. He will specifically addresses PCI DSS requirements by using his "hacker's insight" to identify and examine the biggest exposure risks for convenience and petroleum retailers. He also will share case studies demonstrating vulnerabilities in processing credit card transactions -- and identify steps to mitigate risks.

With more than 20 years of experience in exploring computer security, Mitnick is a largely self-taught expert in exposing the vulnerabilities of complex operating systems and telecommunications devices. His hobby as an adolescent consisted of studying methods, tactics and strategies used to circumvent computer security, and to learn more about how computer systems and telecommunication systems work.

Mitnick is the author of two best-selling books, "The Art of Deception," published in 2002 and "The Art of Intrusion," published in 2005. He served as a general session speaker at NACStech 2004.

This year's event will also feature the NACS/Convenience Store News CIO Roundtable, taking place the morning of May 5, and Convenience Store News' 7th Annual Technology Awards, which recognize individual leadership and company technology innovations. Convenience Store News is also the exclusive media partner of this year's NACStech.

More than 1,200 attendees are expected for NACStech, which features nearly 100 exhibits. Registration is now available at www.nacstech.com.
