Dunkin' Donuts Debuts Dollar Menu in Chicago

CHICAGO -- Dunkin' Donuts introduced a 99-cent value menu for a limited time in 500 Chicago stores Monday, according to a report in Nation's Restaurant News.

The value menu will feature six breakfast items, including a sausage, egg and cheese wrap; a bacon, egg and cheese wrap; a raspberry Danish; hash browns; and a package of five Munchkin doughnut holes, the report stated.

This follows McDonald's, which introduced a breakfast value menu in the Chicago area in August, and plans to expand the morning value menu to other markets, the report stated.

To promote its new value menu, Dunkin' Donuts distributed $40,000 in rechargeable gift cards throughout the Chicago area Monday, each preloaded with $2, and did not include an expiration date, according to the report.
