CSNews Adds to Award-Winning Editorial Staff

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Convenience Store News announced two enhancements to its award-winning editorial team today. Samantha Negraval has assumed the role of assistant editor, while former Assistant Editor Angela Hanson has been promoted to field editor.

"The Convenience Store News brand has grown by more than 25 percent since its acquisition by Stagnito Media in 2010 and is now the clear market leader in the c-store industry," said Don Longo, editor-in-chief of CSNews. "This addition and promotion reflect our continued investment in improving the industry's best editorial product."

As assistant editor, Negraval will support all editorial production requirements of the Convenience Store News brands, both online and in print. Among her many responsibilities will be posting the latest industry news to CSNews' websites, sending out breaking news flashes, overseeing new products coverage and spearheading new social media efforts.

Negraval has worked as a freelance online news writer and editor specializing in creating keyword searchable headlines and content since early 2011. The College of New Jersey graduate also has experience as a local beat reporter. She will work out of Stagnito Media's Jersey City office.

Simultaneously with Negraval's arrival, Hanson has moved into the newly created role of field editor. She will be responsible for primary coverage of the candy, snacks and packaged beverages categories. Hanson will also increase her contributions to the CSNews Daily News, and research and write features for CSNews, CSNews for the Single Store Owner and Hispanic Retail 360 magazines. Hanson joined CSNews as assistant editor in early 2011 and has played a key role in helping CSNews.com maintain its position as the No. 1 news source for the convenience store industry. Prior to joining CSNews, she served as junior editor at Creative Homeowner book press and as managing editor of Anime Insider.
