Circle K Provides Bill Payment Solutions in El Paso

EL PASO, Texas -- A partnership between TIO Networks Corp., an automated non-bank financial services network, and El Paso Electric has launched a self-serve, automated bill payment program through Circle K convenience stores, where the utility company's 351,000 customers can pay their bills at the c-stores' ZapLink-branded kiosks, TIO Networks stated.

Starting April 2008, El Paso Electric customers can pay their bills in cash 24-hours a day at selected Circle K stores, the company stated. Customers enter account information on the TIO touchscreen interface at the kiosk, and pay a $2 convenience fee per transaction, according to the company.

"We're always happy to bring services and products into our stores that facilitate the needs of our customers," Debbie Meyer, financial services manager for Circle K, said in a statement. "Our ZapLink program with TIO Networks Corp. continues to grow with important alliances such as El Paso Electric."

Transactions will be securely completed in English or Spanish, and all payments will be posted to the customer's account, the company stated.
