Chevron Unveils Texaco 2020

SAN RAMON, Calif. -- In order to maintain and grow the equity of Chevron's world-class brands, the company released a new Texaco retail station design, Texaco 2020.

Available now, image elements of the new Texaco design were tested in Europe and Florida markets, and the initial response from customers was "extremely positive," according to a company spokesperson.

"These new image elements will enhance the appearance and function of Texaco stations worldwide by standardizing design components, enabling marketers/retailers to drive down costs and take advantage of new technologies and energy efficiencies," she said.

New Texaco sites entering the network will receive a fresh look at a lower cost to build and to operate.

"The new elements complement our existing network, so there are no mandatory requirements to retrofit or update the image of current stations," according to the spokesperson. "There is also no change to existing retailer or marketer support programs for station construction activities."

The new Texaco 2020 design is also said to build on the success of the Chevron image and leverage the strongest design elements across the Texaco brand.
