Chevron Donates $70K To Los Angeles Area School Groups

LOS ANGELES -- Chevron Products Co. boosted its support of schools this month, when the oil company increased its donations to the El Segundo Educational Foundation and the Manhattan Beach Educational Foundation. The energy company gave $35,000 to each, according to a report by DailyBreeze.com.

The company also recently awarded $22,000 in scholarships to local students, including Riley Peck, Alexander Richardson and Kurt Schumacher of El Segundo High; Austin Jones and Megan Hedges of Mira Costa High; Christopher Burke of Redondo Union High; Alexander Herrerias and Jesus Mora of Hawthorne High; Hassen Hassen and Maria Serna of Leuzinger High; and Olga Leal-Bazan and Tasnuva Shabnoor of Lawndale High.
