Cenex Signs on Fleet One

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. -- CHS Inc.'s Cenex-branded convenience stores and gas locations across the nation now accept Fleet One LLC's fuel cards and fleet-related payment systems.

"As one of the Top 20 convenience stores in North America, Cenex is a longtime and well-respected brand," Robert "Bert" Nix, Fleet One's vice president of business development, said in a written statement. "Our fleet customers will certainly appreciate and take advantage of this new fuel card option at participating Cenex-branded sites."

Cenex locations span 19 states primarily in the North and Midwest, with 1,600 branded and 500 unbranded sites.

In other CHS news, the company selected transaction management and market information services company DTN for its DTN Guardian3 Terminal Automation System to combine with its DTN TABS to give its Cenex-branded locations control over gas supplies.

"We're pleased to be using DTN Guardian3 because it means better customer service for our clients," Corey McIlvain, CHS engineering supervisor, said in a written statement. "We're able to alert customers as they reach their allocation limit and keep adequate fuel supply on reserve so our best customers have access to the amounts they need."

The system will manage fuel supply at stations and provide customized reporting from terminals for insight into product liftings, allowing trucks to load efficiently and maintain business and government compliance records.

CHS also subscribes to DTN TABS, a system that manages credit limits and allocations for customers and trading partners.

"We like DTN TABS because it delivers real-time information about loads, we can use it for customer allocations, we can get email alerts, if there is terminal inactivity we're alerted to it. DTN TABS gives us the ability to manage our business, and remain customer focused," said Lisa Dombek, energy billing manager at CHS.
