Casey's Offers Reward to Catch Robbery/Rape Suspect

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Casey’s General Stores Inc. donated $2,500 to Crime Stoppers here to catch the suspect involved in several robberies and rapes in the Havelock area, area TV stations KOLN/KGIN reported.

Police believe the same suspect could be responsible for rapes and robberies at Hot Rayz Tanning and most recently, the Casey's store at 5500 Superior. In both cases, a lone female employee was approached by a man with a gun who raped the woman and robbed the stores.

Casey's leadership hopes the reward will help lead to tips and eventually an arrest.

Lincoln police said the attention these crimes have received helped raise awareness in the community. Casey’s donation is just the latest reward being offered in this case. Tanning salons and other local businesses have also set up reward funds, the report said.
