Casey's General Sponsors Football Event

OMAHA, Neb. -- Casey's General Stores, a chain of more than 1,500 convenience stores in the Midwest, was named the title sponsor for the United Indoor Football (UIF) League's first All-Star Classic, which will be held Aug. 16 to 18 in Bloomington, Ill. The Classic will include a weekend of events for players and fans, and will finish with the Casey's All-Star Classic game at 7:05 p.m. Aug. 18 at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

As part of the sponsorship, the Casey's brand will be visible with signage during each event, an onfield promotion during the game, as well as radio, television and other media mentions, according to the league's sales and marketing coordinator, Mike Schmitz. In addition, players in select markets will make appearances at Casey's General Stores.

"They understand our fans because our fans are their customers, too," said Schmitz in a statement. "Casey's strives to exceed customer expectations, much like the UIF does with its fans. They're going to be a major part of the success of the All-Star Classic weekend."

The league's Bloomington Extreme team and U.S. Cellular Coliseum will host the Casey's All-Star Classic game.

"It's great to have a nationally-known company step forward and give their support," Extreme's vice president of marketing, Beau Bradle, said in a written statement. "On a local level, we appreciate the tremendous support Casey's has shown to the U.S. Cellular Coliseum, the Bloomington Extreme indoor football team and its family of players and fans."
