Casey's Fundraises for St. Jude
ANKENY, Iowa -- Casey's General Stores raised $500,000 for the children of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in October during its 18th annual St. Jude Halloween Promotion.
During the monthlong promotion, thousands of c-stores, grocery stores, restaurants and other retail locations nationwide encouraged consumers to make $1 donations to St. Jude to support its lifesaving research and care, the Des Moines Register reported.
In return for the contributions, donors wrote their names on pinups, which the retail establishments such as Casey's displayed throughout October, the report stated.
