ampm, Coke Launch Racing Promotion

LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Southern California ampm stores are teaming up with Coca-Cola -- a Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach sponsor since 1994 -- to give motorsports fans a full day of racing -- free, according to www.whowon.com.

This retail promotion, which features extensive signage promoting the April 13-15 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, is now taking place in 424 ampm c-stores throughout Southern California. Grand Prix fans can visit the Coca-Cola display in their local ampm store, purchase two 1-liter products -- including Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Sprite, Dasani or POWERade -- and pick up a voucher near the checkout for a free ticket to all the action on "Fast Friday," April 13, the Web site reported.

In addition to the free voucher, which can be redeemed at any Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach ticket office anytime through April 13, Coca-Cola, ampm and radio station, "Power 106," are promoting a sweepstakes to win a Toyota Tundra.

"Fast Friday" includes practice and qualifying sessions for the Champ Car World Series, Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race, Champ Car Atlantics, American Le Mans Series and the SPEED World Challenge GT, as well as the first round of action in the EZ Lube Team Drift Challenge. The free ticket includes a driver autograph session and admission to the Tecate Fiesta Friday Concert at 6 p.m. starring "Enanitos Verdes."

ampm, along with the ARCO gasoline brand, is owned by BP West Coast Products.
