Alabama To Allow Alcohol Sales on Sundays

ALABAMA -- A referendum signed on Thursday by the U.S. Justice Department will allow the sale of beer and wine on Sundays throughout most of Alabama's Baldwin County, according to the Mobile (Ala.) Register. The next step is certification of the vote, scheduled for today, to make the referendum a law.

Every Baldwin municipality, except the town of Loxley, will be able to sell alcohol on Sundays at grocery stores, convenience stores, gas stations and other businesses.
