7-Eleven Races On

DALLAS -- 7-Eleven Inc. will extend its sponsorship agreement with Andretti Green Racing, continuing in its role as the chief supporter of the #11 Team 7-Eleven entry into the 2006 season, reported Crash.Net.

7-Eleven has served as the primary sponsor for the AGR entry driven by 2004 IRL Tony Kanaan for the past three seasons and has also been an associate sponsor on the #7 XM Satellite Radio car of Bryan Herta, the #26 Klein Tools/Jim Beam machine piloted by 2005 Indy 500 and IRL title winner Dan Wheldon and the #27 ArcaEx car of Dario Franchitti.

"We're excited to continue our lead sponsorship of Team 7-Eleven," president and CEO Jim Keyes said in the Crash.Net report, "and also to be a part of this great American racing tradition."

Michael Andretti, co-owner of Andretti Green Racing with partners Kim Green and Kevin Savoree, said that he was looking forward to building on an already successful relationship with 7-Eleven.

"7-Eleven is such an integral part of our program that we're thrilled to have them on board for what we hope will be another championship season in 2006," he said in the Crash.Net report. "Team 7-Eleven has consistently been a championship contender on the track, and off the track 7-Eleven has established a great sponsorship program."
