NOCO Express Stores Raises Money for Breast Cancer Research

TONAWANDA, N.Y. -- In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 10 cents from every cup of coffee sold at NOCO Express Stores during October was donated to the Susan G. Komen, Western New York affiliate. In total, NOCO raised $3,296 for breast cancer education and research.

"Breast cancer touches so many women and families in our community and we extend our sincere thanks to all our guests who stopped into one of our Express stores to make a purchase and help support the important work of the local Susan G. Komen affiliate," said Michael Newman, executive vice president, operations at NOCO Energy Corp.

Seventy-five percent of the Western New York Affiliate of Susan G. Komen’s net income is put toward funding grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast health education, and breast cancer screening and treatment programs for medically underserved women. The remainder of its net income supports the national Komen Grants Program, according to a press release.
