Hess Donates Thousands of Toy Trucks

TAMPA, Fla. -- Hess is donating about 15,000 of its 2010 Hess Toy Truck and Jet to underprivileged kids with the help of Toys for Tots, reported WTSP.com.

"We are very glad to continue helping Toys for Tots make the holiday season more joyful for children in need," said F. Borden Walker, executive vice president and president of marketing and refining for the Hess Corp. "We hope these toys will bring holiday cheer to thousands of area children."

"We are grateful to share in the Hess Toy Truck holiday tradition," said Bill Grein, vice president of marketing for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. "These are still difficult economic times for many families, so we're delighted that Hess is making a great toy available to so many underprivileged children at the holidays."

For the first time, a jet is part of the Hess collection. The tractor trailer has been a part of Hess' holiday collection for more than 40 years.
