ExxonMobil Contributes to Tornado Relief Efforts

IRVING, Texas -- Exxon Mobil Corp. will donate $100,000 to the American Red Cross to assist with disaster relief and recovery following the recent tornadoes in Alabama and other states, the company announced.

"We extend our heartfelt sympathies to all who have been impacted by the devastating tornadoes," said Russ Spahr, ExxonMobil mobile bay operations superintendent. "We hope that our donation to the Red Cross will help the people of Alabama who are in need as they try to recover and rebuild."

The donation will be directed by the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to support central Alabama, the area hardest hit by the storms. The Relief Fund provides food, shelter, counseling and other assistance to disaster victims every year.

ExxonMobil employs approximately 200 Alabamans who work at its natural gas production operations in Mobile Bay, Alabama, according to the company.
