7-Eleven’s Joe DePinto Named Honorary Chairman of Racing Round Up Gala

DALLAS -- 7-Eleven President and CEO Joe DePinto will serve as honorary chairman of The Michael Andretti Foundation's Racing Round Up Gala on June 9 at Gilley's Dallas, the foundation announced in conjunction with the Dr Pepper Snapple Group.

Along with his position as president and CEO at 7-Eleven, DePinto is also a board-director of 7-Eleven Inc., OfficeMax, Brinker International Inc., The Dallas Chamber of Commerce, SMU's Cox School of Business and The National Italian American Foundation, according to a prepared release. He is also a member of the Advisory Councils for Outlook Leadership, the Pro Players Foundation and the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth, as well as a Network of Executive Women Champion and an active member of the Business Executives for National Security.

7-Eleven, which has approximately 40,900 locations across the globe, is a longtime sponsor of Andretti’s IndyCar team and Andretti Autosport, and was also the primary sponsor for the 2004 IZOD IndyCar Series championship team, according to the foundation.

The Gala will raise funds for the Children's Museum in the Perot Museum of Nature & Science. A portion of proceeds will also go to Speedway Children’s Charities at Texas Motor Speedway. According to the foundation, the standard charitable donation is $250 per person or $350 per person for VIP access. Attendees will be able to meet IZOD IndyCar drivers of Andretti Autosport Marco Andretti, Mike Conway, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Danica Patrick.
