Thorntons Expands Proprietary Coffee Brand to Kentucky, Indiana

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Thorntons Inc. will expand its proprietary line of Thorntons Premium Blend Coffees to Louisville and southern Indiana as of this Monday. It will replace Dunkin' Donuts brand coffee at 33 stores in the region.

"We are thrilled with this expansion and the upcoming series of enhancements, as we continue to offer the highest quality and best variety of coffee available to consumers," said Thorntons President and CEO Matt Thornton. "And while we have enjoyed our affiliation with Dunkin' Brands, we will now have the ability to offer a broader range and selection of the Thorntons coffee brand."

New flavors will join Thorntons' signature Gourmet House Blend, including the bolder-tasting Dark Roast blend, which is made with 100-percent Arabica beans and is a Rainforest Alliance-certified product. The Dark Roast will also be available in a decaffeinated version.

Additionally, customers can add fresh milk, fresh cream and a greater variety of flavor shots at Thorntons' "Hot Treat Centers," along with fresh whipped cream, and chocolate and caramel sauces.
