Starbucks Goes Global With Blended Frappuccino Drinks

SEATTLE -- Starbucks is bringing its however-you-want-it Frappuccino blended beverages to the global stage this summer. The company made the decision after the successful introduction of the drink in the United States and Canada last year.

With the worldwide introduction, customers at every participating store around the world will be able to personalize their Frappuccino drink to their lifestyle and taste preferences. Customers can choose the type of milk, intensity of coffee and any combination of syrups or toppings, according to the company.

"We're building on last year's successful reinvention of our iconic Frappuccino blended beverages by offering the innovative recipe in all of our stores globally," said Annie Young-Scrivner, global chief marketing officer. "The high level of personalization available for Starbucks Frappuccino blended beverages remains a differentiator for the Frappuccino brand. This is just another way we are catering to a global audience who expects the very best from their Starbucks Experience."

Starbucks has other plans on tap for this summer as well. The company is bringing back, for a limited time in the United States and Canada, the Mocha Coconut Frappuccino blended beverage and its coffee-free variation, the Coconut Crème Frappuccino blended beverage.

In addition, the Starbucks Frappuccino Happy Hour is making its return beginning May 6 from 3 to 5 p.m. at participating stores in the two countries.
