McDonald's Hopes Its Wings Are Mighty

ATLANTA -- McDonald's Corp. is testing the sale of buffalo wings.

The quick-service restaurant giant added Mighty Wings to its menu lineup in metropolitan Atlanta today, reported the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

A wide variety of dipping sauces are available with the bone-in chicken wings, including Creamy Ranch, Spicy Buffalo and Tangy Barbecue.

According to the news source, the chicken wings come in three -, five- and 10-packs -- as well as in value meals -- for a suggested retail price of $2.99 and up.

"Research shows that our guests today want more, meaty, bone-in chicken options, Donavon Groen, president of the Greater Atlanta McDonald's Operator's Association, told the news outlet. "McDonald's is excited to bring chicken lovers across Atlanta a great-tasting wing that delivers a new, unexpected flavor experience that is bold and delicious."

There is no word yet if McDonald's plans to expand the chicken wing test to other U.S. markets.
