Dunkin' Donuts to Double U.S. Store Count by 2032

CANTON, Mass. -- It's time to make a lot more doughnuts.

Dunkin' Donuts will double the number of its U.S. locations over the next 20 years, according to a report by CNN Money. Dunkin' already operates about 7,000 stores nationwide.

A company spokeswoman told the news outlet that each new store will an average of 20 to 25 new employees, both full- and part-time. Dunkin' also announced that it's finished streamlining its supply chain, consolidating four existing regional suppliers into one entity, National DCP.

According to IBISWorld, Dunkin' Donuts controls about 23 percent of the U.S. coffee and snack-shop market. That trails Starbucks, which holds a 32.6-percent share with its 11,000 U.S. stores.

Dunkin' Donuts' parent company also owns ice cream purveyor Baskin-Robbins.
