Dunkin' Donuts Adds Google Wallet to Payment Options

CANTON, Mass.  —  Dunkin’ Donuts customers can now pay for food, beverages and and other merchandise at participating U.S. locations using the Google Wallet mobile payment option.

As of Thursday, consumers with Android smartphones can use Google Wallet to load and reload their Dunkin’ Donuts Cards within the Dunkin’ mobile app. Google Wallet is intended to safely store a customer’s credit or debit card information and use this information to quickly purchase desired items.

“Google Wallet offers our guests with Android devices another quick and convenient way to load or reload a Dunkin’ Donuts Card within the Dunkin’ Mobile App, to purchase favorite Dunkin’ Donuts food and beverages quickly and get back into their busy day,” said Scott Hudler, vice president, Global Consumer Engagement at Dunkin’ Brands. “Developing and delivering technologies to enhance guests’ experience, including the Dunkin’ mobile app, DD Perks rewards program, and eventually mobile ordering, will continue to differentiate our brand as we continue our growth throughout the country.”

The Dunkin’ mobile app enables guests to make purchases by scanning their DD Cards stored in the app either in-store or at the drive-thru.

Canton-based Dunkin’ Donuts is part of the Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. family of companies. It operates more than 11,300 locations in 36 countries.
