Burger King Reveals Massive Coffee Upgrade

MIAMI -- Burger King Worldwide Inc. has revamped its coffee platform at Burger King locations across the United States.

With the new program, blended by Seattle's Best Coffee, the quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain has introduced a 100-percent Latin American Arabica bean custom blend crafted for its customers. Customers can choose hot or iced coffee in several flavors such as vanilla, mocha and caramel.

In addition, Burger King will roll out a café-quality latté in March, the company added.

"Burger King brand's new specialty coffee line is the latest example of our commitment to delivering a great-tasting product customized to evolving consumer tastes," said Eric Hirschhorn, vice president of global innovation, Burger King Worldwide. "Continuing to innovate and improve the Burger King brand's coffee and beverage platforms are among our top priorities for the year. With the help of our experienced partner, Seattle's Best Coffee, we were able to collaborate, identify and develop the ideal custom blend that is perfect for our guests."

The new coffee menu lineup includes:

  • Brewed Smooth Roast Coffee -- The 100-percent Latin American Arabica blend from Seattle's Best Coffee. It is also available in decaf. The suggested retail price starts at $1.
     
  • Smooth Roast Iced Coffee -- The new iced coffee is available in plain, vanilla, mocha and caramel. The suggested retail price starts at $1.49.
     
  • Lattés -- The base for this coffeehouse latté is 100-percent Latin American Arabica espresso. The beverage is available in plain, vanilla, mocha and caramel. It will also be offered in nonfat varieties beginning in March at participating locations. The suggested retail price starts at $2.29.
