NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Hunt Brothers Pizza, the largest distributor of fresh dough pizza to the convenience store market, recently celebrated a milestone of over 6,000 locations in 26 states with the opening of its newest site in the Unionville Market, in Unionville, Tenn.
"We are pleased with the response our customers have provided us, enabling us to reach this significant growth level," said Scott Hunt, senior executive at Hunt Brothers Pizza. "This company has continued its steady and strong growth through our combination of product, people and a commitment to service. We take pride in helping these store owners grow and see that as a further example of our mission at work. We look forward to delivering this combination to more store owners in the coming year."
Under the Hunt Brothers Pizza business model, c-stores purchase the company's proprietary equipment and pizza makings. Store employees are then trained to prepare and cook pizza the Hunt Brothers way. The store is serviced weekly by Hunt Brothers team members who deliver product in company-owned trucks. In addition to delivery, service includes rotating product, training employees, displaying marketing materials and support in business development. Stores do not pay franchise fees or royalties.
The product line includes the company's 12-inch Original pizza, its new Thin Crust pizza and a 12-inch breakfast pizza, all of which are delivered frozen and prepared to bake. They are sold in either whole pizzas or the 'Hunk 'a Pizza,' which is one-quarter of a whole pizza. All come with Hunt Brothers' signature promise of "All Toppings No Extra Charge."
