SAN ANTONIO -- Former Dallas Cowboys running back, Herschel Walker greeted a long line of fans at a San Antonio Diamond Shamrock Corner Store while promoting Pepsi's newest refreshment, Pepsi Vanilla. The promotion was such a success, Walker's fans came running back for more.
According to Rachel Ridenour, Pepsi's Business Unit Key Account Manager, "Pepsi's sales increased by 9 percent compared to this time last year. And, during its first week on the market, Pepsi Vanilla was 88 percent of Pepsi's volume, and currently makes up 42 percent of Pepsi's overall volume."
Walker, an NFL legend, was on hand at the Diamond Shamrock not only helping promote Pepsi Vanilla, but spending quality time with his fans by signing t-shirts and posing for photos. And fans had the chance to sample one of the city's first shipments of Pepsi's latest drink at a taste-testing.
