    Heritage's Dairy Stores Roll Out Supply Chain Management System

    New Jersey retailer partners with BlueCube Software to automate its stores.

    THOROFARE, N.J. -- Heritage's Dairy Stores completed a chain-wide implementation of BlueCube Enterprise Supply Chain Management suite in its 36 corporate-owned stores.

    In late 2003, Heritage's selected BlueCube Enterprise as a key part of an initiative to automate its stores, and has now completed the rollout. Alpharetta, Ga.-based BlueCube Software Inc. provided the solution in partnership with Retail Data Systems.

    “For years we have heard others talk about what a nightmare it is to roll out POS and back office systems,” said Skeeter Heritage, Heritage's Dairy Stores president. “With BlueCube Software and RDS as partners, they made it simple.”

    Lacking an in-house IT staff, Heritage's sought a proven back-office solution that could tackle its foodservice and convenience store inventory, tight integration with the chosen point of sale, real-time reporting and visibility across the chain and implementation expertise and resources.

    “We knew the project would be a turning point for our business, so we had to get it right the first time,” said Jay Dempsey, director of marketing for Heritage's. “Even now, with all the stores installed and running, BlueCube Enterprise's usability continues to positively impact our business, and we look for that impact to grow as we expand how we use the BlueCube Enterprise platform.”
