EATON, Ohio -- The National Restaurant Association presented Henny Penny with a Kitchen Innovations (KI) 2009 award for the new Evolution Elite fryer.
The Evolution Elite is "one of the ‘greenest’ fryers on the market," according to a release by company, with an energy efficiency rating of greater than 85 percent. The Energy Star certified fryer boasts 40 percent reduce oil capacity, which allows users to save on shortening while cooking the same amount of food product. It also includes a SmartFilter Express™ filtration system, which can be performed in four minutes and an automatic oil top-off, the manufacturer reported.
"The Evolution Elite fryer provides a significant advantage to supermarkets and QSR’s seeking to operate within a leaner cost structure in challenging economic times," Henny Penny President, Rob Connelly stated in a release. "Being honored with a KI 2009 Award is a testament to our organization-wide commitment to new product innovation and quality and to the customers we serve."
