HandiMart Works with National Guard and Reserve
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- HandiMart convenience stores joined with the Reserve Officers Association (ROA), which represents citizen soldiers in the National Guard and Reserve, to raise money to help soldiers who have been deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq and their families, the Iowa-based Press-Citizen reported.
Specially designed magnetic ribbons with the "Lest We Forget" inscription and the ROA logo are now available at all HandiMart stores.
Net proceeds go to the ROA "Lest We Forget Fund," which was established to assist families of National Guard members and reservists who have had to leave their homes upon their units' deployment.
