Handee Marts Names New President
GIBSONIA, Pa. -- Handee Marts, Inc., a licensee of 7-Eleven Inc., announced the promotion of Mike Triantafellou to the position of president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2009.
"For almost two years, Mike has served as our vice president and chief operating officer, and during that period has proven himself an outstanding leader," said Walt Turner, current president, CEO and chairman of the board, in a recent company letter. "He is committed to developing our people, strengthening our relationships with our franchisee and vendor partners, and fulfilling the Handee Marts’ mission."
Prior to his joining Handee Marts in February 2007, Triantafellou was a "well-respected executive" and held "outstanding credentials" in the retail, foodservice and convenience store industries, according to Turner.
Turner will remain chairman of the board.
