    Green Oil Raises $24K for Charity

    Three charities share in proceeds raised by Wyatt Brothers-owned convenience and petroleum chain.

    Fairburn, Ga. -- The Wyatt Brothers, owners of Geo. H. Green Oil Co., reported yesterday that their annual Charity Fund Raising efforts were successful in raising some $24,000 for their three adopted charity partners -- Greater Atlanta’s Empty Stocking Fund, the Newnan, Ga. Welcome House, and the Fairburn, Ga.“In His Great Name Ministry.”

    “Despite a troubled economy and the highest unemployment rate in 50 years, the Green Oil Employees, led by their two Truck Stops collected 10.7 percent more than they did last year,” said Edward “Ed” Wyatt and William “Bill” Wyatt. Fairburn Family Travel Center collected $12,200 in just over 30 days, while the Greenway McStop collected $4,200.

    The Wyatt Brothers expressed their “sincere and heartfelt appreciate to our stores and employees, our great office staff, generous vendors and especially our wonderful customers for their caring generosity -- once again demonstrating “the reason for the season!"”
