Giant Eagle Offers Double Fuelperks for Back-to-School Season
PITTSBURGH -- Giant Eagle, based here, launched a back-to-school promotion enabling consumers to earn double fuelperks! rewards when they purchase gift cards at participating Giant Eagle stores, GetGo locations and online at GiantEagle.com, reported Progressive Grocer, sister publication to Convenience Store News.
The limited-time promotion kicked off Sunday and runs through Sept. 8. It will offer a 0.20 cents-per-gallon discount at GetGo fuel and convenience store locations for every $50 spent with the Giant Eagle Advantage Card on all qualifying retailer gift cards.
"In combination with Giant Eagle's everyday price reduction efforts, these double fuelperks! rewards on gift cards are intended to provide even more ways to save by shopping at Giant Eagle," Dan Donovan, Giant Eagle spokesman, told Progressive Grocer.
Customers meeting purchase requirements earn fuelperks! discount on each gallon of gas at GetGo with every $50 spent with the Giant Eagle Advantage Card inside Giant Eagle supermarkets and GetGo locations, the report stated. The Giant Eagle Advantage Card automatically tracks customers' fuelperks! savings, and a customer can redeem points by simply scanning a Giant Eagle Advantage Card at the GetGo pump.
