Giant-Carlisle Taps KSS Software for Fuel Management

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- In an effort to better manage 61 of its Giant Food Store fuel locations across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia, Giant-Carlisle selected KSS Inc.’s PriceNet, PriceNet Mobile and Visualizer solutions.

"In today’s fuel environment, it’s vital to have accurate and reliable information at our fingertips to make important, competitive business decisions as market conditions change," Todd Patti, vice president for general merchandise, health & beauty care, and fuel at Giant Food Stores, said in a released statement.

"The PriceNet, PriceNet Mobile and Visualizer software from KSS provides the flexibility we need to create a responsive fuel pricing process that we can monitor and adjust as needed," he added.

Bob Stein, KSS chief executive officer and president, explained PriceNet is an end-to-end pricing solution that supports the multiple variables involved in retail fuels pricing, from capturing field-based intelligence at the site level to the generation of price proposals. The latter is achieved with comprehensive pricing rules or price optimization, to consistent and timely implementation.

"Giant Food Stores is literally a giant among the grocery industry, and we’re honored to partner with them and add value to their fuels operations,” Stein said in a released statement. "As the oil market and gas prices remain volatile, it’s important that retailers like Giant Food Stores have a system in place that can flexibly and reliably track, change and optimize fuel prices."
